Social Worker - Mana Ake
Joined the team October 2024

Leanne loves being able to support tamariki and whānau thrive in their environment. She enjoys and appreciates every experience is different and honours the stories that are shared with her. She believes each child has immeasurable strength and mana, bringing this out and reminding them and others is truly rewarding. She encourages whānau to utilise their natural resources around them and to gain support when needed. This is not a weakness but a strength, empowerment via support and guidance is the greatest gift we can give each other.

Outside of mahi Leanne enjoys gardening, fishing and spending time with her friends and family to stay grounded. She loves trying new things and experiences. She has believes in looking after her own oranga so she can supports others, because you have to look after yourself before you can look after others.

Her greatest achievement in life is raising her daughter, who is now an adult.

Leanne holds a Degree in Social Work. She aspires to complete her Masters in Health and Disability sector in the near future.
