Serena was born and raised in Napier.

When Serena was asked what she likes most about her role, her response was, "I love being able to help people, no matter if it’s something big or small - so working for Te Kupenga Hauora - Ahuriri (TKHA) is rewarding in that way.....being able to give back to our community. I love providing support and resources to all of our Kaimahi at TKHA so they can do their mahi efficiently, and I love the variety of Services that we provide for our community".

Outside of mahi Serena enjoys spending time with her two daughters, her whānau and friends.

Serena's greatest achievement so far is 'hands down' her two daughters. They are her reason why. She believes she is a strong wahine and a great role-model for her daughters. Another proud achievement of Serena's is being the Board Chairperson of her daughter’s kura, and being able to support their Kaiako (Teachers) so they're able to nourish our tamariki in their learning.
